The TYR Method

Four steps, zero risk.

01

Free portfolio analysis

Send a patent list – or just your company name. We identify possible infringements and licensing partners for unused IP.

02

Opportunity analysis

Technical and economic analysis of infringement, validity and damages potential – as a basis for law firms and funders.

03

Success-based funding

We arrange litigation financing covering attorneys, court fees and adverse-cost risk – for a fair share of the outcome.

04

Litigation support

On request, we assemble and coordinate top-tier legal teams in Germany, Europe and beyond, so you stay focused on your business.

FAQ

Quick answers.

What does an analysis of my portfolio cost?

Nothing. The initial analysis is free and non-binding. If we find no way to monetize your portfolio, you incur no costs at all – our compensation is purely success-based.

How quickly will I get an initial analysis?

Typically within two weeks of sending us your patent list or your company name.

Who bears the litigation risk?

For enforcement, we arrange litigation funders who cover attorneys' fees, court fees and expert costs, as well as the adverse-cost risk if the case is lost – in exchange for a share of the outcome.

Does TYR provide legal advice?

No. TYR assesses cases for licensing and litigation purposes and helps you secure litigation funding. Legal advice from attorneys and patent attorneys is provided by specialized law firms, which we coordinate.

What happens to patents in insolvency?

Patents are part of the insolvency estate and lose value quickly as renewal fees and deadlines keep running. TYR takes over administration, fees and monetization on a success basis – through acquisition or revenue sharing. Read more in our insights article →

Does TYR work internationally?

Yes. We coordinate enforcement in Germany, before the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and with partner firms worldwide – especially for US patent holders with European counterpart patents.
